A Day’s Shooting for 8 Guns at Murthly Estate
This wonderful prize comprises a day’s shooting at the Murthly Estate.
This is a mini-driven day, that is a mixture of walked-up and driven shooting. The offer is for eight guns, with a bag of 80 birds. In addition, the Estate will include a cooked lunch at Murthly Castle. The date to be mutually agreed between the winner and Murthly Estate.
The Estate is situated near Dunkeld in Highland Perthshire, about one hour from the Central Belt, and is truly rural and straddles the Highland Line. The combination of the parkland around Murthly Castle - with its endless woods and the River Tay, and heather hills and birch woods on the higher ground - make the Estate a wonderful place to enjoy natural surroundings.

Stella Maris Star of the Sea
This work of art, Stella Maris Star of the Sea, has kindly been donated to the Ball by the contemporary British artist Nicky Beckett. The picture is mixed media, a combination of oil and acrylic painting as well as collage. The Madonna is a recurring image in Nicky’s work.
Nicky is a mixed media artist who trained at Goldsmiths, specialising in oil painting and now working from her studio in Summerhall, Edinburgh. She has exhibited in London, Edinburgh, France and Venice Biennale, and has worked in Poland as part of Richard Demarcos Archive. Nicky uses a variety of media, including oil paints, pastels, printmaking and collage.
